Tricks are for kids.

Image
The greatest trick satan ever pulled was getting people to look at the bible as a "how to" guide for living their life, with every word on equal footing with Jesus Himself, rather than seeing scripture as the greatest story ever told showing man's ignorance of God and pointing people away from a false separated view of God, and towards an illumination of the Abba, God truly is, in the form of relationship with Jesus. This has caused man to not look at the founding relationship God had with Adam . They don't see the real truth of what God desired. How God did not sit on a throne with Adam prostrate like a worm before Him. God instead chose to travel down from the heavens and walk side by side with Adam enjoying the companionship of the creation He loves.   But due to this "trick", these men look at the separated status the Israelites were born into and try to emulate that mixed in with what they now know of Jesus, or their interpretation of who Jesu

The only legalist are law following legalists?

Image
I've noticed that following the law or following grace doesn't define whether you are, or are not, a legalist, your heart does.   I've seen followers of legalism, that are stubborn and unwilling to compromise, back down, or live in harmony or grace in both camps.   The ones that behave like that in the grace camp worry me the most, they don't have any excuse or justification for that type of behavior.

Interpretation: the greatest idol.

Image
I've found when discussing the scriptures with others that we don't disagree, or debate, the words written, we disagree, or debate, over the interpretation. I find as humans that type of mentality infiltrates more than just books, it infiltrates our interactions with those we are in relationship with, or that we speak with in passing. We seem to place so much value on our own interpretations of a variety of things, that we end up elevating an interpretation, no matter how fal se it may end up being, above Love. We stop walking in Love because we in fact have made our interpretations of things, whether it's due to past experiences, hurt, pain, our self centered wisdom, or a variety of other things, into an idol. An idol that rules our lives. We don't have to live like this. We have a better way. We know a better Way, Truth, and Life. Let's walk in Love, and only Love. What do we really have to lose walking in His way, walking in Love?

What is the value?

Image
When you are willing to discard relationships over petty things, it shows the value the relationship actually had to you. If something is of value, no matter the circumstances, you treat it as such and put all you can into restoration. You walk in humility, you don't argue over "rights", you are quick to forgive, and slow to anger. Above all, you do not walk in judgment, your immediate thought isn't that the actions of another were for any selfish, or insensitive purposes, rather that they made an innocent mistake and you show them grace and welcome them home to your arms. We can learn a lesson from Jesus when He spoke of a lost sheep, a lost coin, and a lost son. We can learn a lesson from Jesus when He went to a cross for those that cried for His death. The common denominator in His parables, and his actions at the cross, was that He was motivated by the value of the things that were lost, and the ones that crucified Him. Because of that value, the

Change your mind.

Image
A Christian has been equipped to monitor and change their thought life, change their mind, change their self-talk, it requires them to place their focus on Christ and not on themselves, their rights, their expectations, their demands. Lets do this, guys, we can change the world by changing our thought life. ‪#‎ metanoia‬

Grace and mercy for all, or for some?

Image
I cringe when I notice myself, or others, giving more grace and mercy to a stranger than we do our own family members or people in other close relationships with us. It's doubly disturbing when it happens in a marriage, or committed relationship, where the couple should be a 3 stranded cord with God. It's not of God for us to behave in this manner, we fool ourselves if we believe we are acting in agreement with Him. Actions directed by Love are always the better way, always.

Labels for people?

Image
Christians should be the last to label people. All of those we read about in scripture could have been labeled in one way or another, mostly negative, and yet God had an amazing purpose in store for them all, regardless of their past or present status, and saw them simply as His beloved. We need to stop cursing other with labels and simply see them as "His beloved." The very least that would happen is that there'd be a lot less drama.

No forgiveness?

Image
Forgiveness should be a hallmark of a Christian.

More of God?

Image
I never ask God for more of Him. Instead... I thank Him that I have all of Him.

No Grace? No Jesus.

Image
  A grace-less Christian, is a Jesus-less Christian.

Bad things, really bad things.

Image
Bad things are not from God. Even if they turn out well in the end. He is never the author, cause, or bringer of evil, even if ultimately He can draw a benefit out of it.   You see God has an amazing way of redeeming seemingly unredeemed things. Whether it's people or circumstances, He can bring redemption and restoration out of any and all circumstances, but that doesn't mean He is the One who ca uses them all.   Don't get caught up in a mixed mentality of Christ and Judaism, Greek, Roman, or Egyptian mythology, and karma.   God = good Darkness = bad God = the ultimate Mr. Fix-it Satan = the ultimate saboteur It must be tiring to be such a good God and be accused of such bad things by mixed up kids that were taught incorrectly.

Jesus approved of violence? Really?

Image
It's always amusing when people renounce the fact that Jesus was against violence by saying when He said if someone "slaps your cheek, show them the other cheek," it was just related to insult, not physical violence.   The reason it's amusing is because just before saying the words they use to come to this strange conclusion by using mental gymnastics to defend their use of violence, and discount His meaning, He set up the message, and what He was speaking of, by very clearly r eferring directly to "an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth."   And that, my friend, can in no way, shape, or, form be looked at as referring to an insult, that is obviously a very real, and very physical, act against someone if you in fact know why that issue was addressed in the OT.   He also concludes by saying to love your enemies, and to pray for those who persecute you. And, no, He wasn't speaking of the Western world's form of persecution, He was spea

Heresy!!!

Image
While me and many of the people the church call the "hell bound" are singing "Hosanna!!!" in heaven, I can already imagine the loud chants trying to silence our celebration from many Christians screaming "Heresy!!!"

Cheering the "hell bound?"

Image
I can just imagine their disappointment when many Christians find out they won't really be able to stand over a cliff looking into hell, cheering at gay people, Muslims, atheist, and whomever else they choose to call an "enemy" being tortured.

Will you like Heaven?

Image
I sincerely believe that when many Christians get to heaven that they will hate their surroundings, they will hate the people that are there, and they will actually accuse God of being a heretic when they see all the ones they cursed to hell, laughing, playing, dancing, drinking, and being filled with an unimaginable joy.   If you can't get along with your neighbors, all neighbors, even the gay ones, the Muslim ones, the atheist ones, the conservative or liberal ones, now, I ha te to break it to you, you certainly wont like heaven because you're gonna see more of them there than you can imagine. ‪ #Godisaheretic #JesusSavioroftheuniverse

What kinds of Christians are there?

Image
I've seen political Christians, racist Christians, murderous Christians, judgmental Christians, doubting Christians, nasty Christians, self righteous Christians, gluttonous Christians, vain Christians, selfish Christians, addicted Christians, impolite Christians, speeding Christians, slow Christians, intelligent Christians, ignorant Christians, manipulative Christians, dirty Christians, gossiping Christians, vindictive Christians, conservative Christians, liberal Christians, giving Christians, greedy Christians, unsympathetic Christians, FOX News watching Christians, self-centered Christians, dishonest Christians, sex crazed Christians, cursing Christians, fearful Christians, sick Christians, violent Christians, pacifist Christians, war-mongering Christians, black, white, red, yellow, brown, green, purple, Christians, angry Christians, depressed Christians, anxious Christians, uncertain Christians, hypocritical Christians, Zionist Christians, un-Christ like Christians, turn

Master or jailer?

Image
It is impossible to legislate the world into behaving as followers of Christ.   It is darkness inspired to force the world into behaving as followers of Christ.   Satan doesn't care how you behave, no matter how pious, as long as your heart is still far from light.   Jesus' way is to change hearts, not to force minds.   Learn and walk in the true way of the Master, not the way of the jailer.

Freedom or oppression?

Image
We have long benefited from freedom of religion, in fact freedom of many things as Christians in this country.   When the church then goes above and beyond to take away, or oppress freedoms from other peoples they are really treading on a slippery slope from being sons to being dictators.   From Christlikeness to darkness.   Christ provides freedom. Even freedom to make foolish choices, as well as a freedom from foolish choices.   Darkness provides oppression. Darkness forces it's way into your choices, and imprisons you to them.   We cannot take attributes of darkness and cover them in sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows, and then call it good.   That's not the gospel, it is not the way of Jesus, and it never was.

Question time.

Image
Rhetorical question time: Biblically is it more important for followers of Christ to be involved in politics, or in healing the sick, feeding the poor, and caring for widows and orphans?

Let me clean up this feces.

Image
God is angry, He is judging America, He supports violent retributive acts, He endorses genocide, He gives you cancer, He took your job, He destroys families, He supports political parties, He supports legislation to force morality on people, He hates gay people, He hates Muslims, He hates atheists, He only loves a chosen group, He is foaming at the mouth to fry up a few billion worthless humans? Excuse me as I wipe up this nonsense and put it where it belongs.

Bad use of the bible.

Image
As the slave masters used the bible to justify slavery, violent men use the bible to justify their evil deeds.

Islam is the only violent religion?

Image
I  don't think those that always talk about how Islam is a violent religion have ever really read the OT.

Are you worshipping Christ or something else?

Image
It really is sad. Way too frequently a church opens up in America that teaches a community to worship an amalgamation of Greek, Roman, and Egyptian gods and the real Jesus image of God get's locked away.   It is becoming a normal occurrence that those in power don't feel people are responsible enough to handle the complete, accurate image of God that is so exceedingly, abundantly, scandalously good.   It's a shame that these facilities call themselves Christian, when they d on't teach to follow the one true God, Jesus Christ, but to follow Zeus, Hades, Ra, Horus, Mars, Janus, etc.   Is Jesus in your church or counterfeits? One good way of finding out is whether your church seems to draw all the ragamuffins of this world, as our Savior did, or just a bunch of white washed tombs.

Church in politics?

Image
The church will always fail at legislating their view of morality. Maybe that's why Jesus didn't get involved in the politics of His day, which incidentally those ruling in His day were much, much worse than those ruling today.

Is God a deadbeat dad?

Image
Why did bad theology make people think of God the same as they would a deadbeat dad? My God is not a deadbeat dad!   He loves His kids and His kids are priceless to Him, He longs from the depth of His heart to be involved in all aspects of His kids lives.   He doesn't think His kids are worthless, He doesn't think they are a mistake, He isn't sickened looking at them, He doesn't look at them with regret.   That's utter nonsense and complete bull to say my Abba is like that!   My God will go to any length, travel to the ends of the universe, give all that He has for His kids, and guess what?   You're His kid too, no matter how much bad theology calls you, and tries to convince you, that you're an illegitimate child.   He isn't hiding from you, never was, and it doesn't take a court order for Him to want to love and support you.   God doesn't love you because it's some kind of a legal requirement, because one act

Convicted church?

Image
So the church is so convicted that they have to preach messages against homosexuality and get involved with politics to force morality on the world, yet they seem to hardly ever address the racism and bigotry that is prevalent in the Western church, and their communities, which is actually a very real and disheartening issue. If God would judge America for anything, it'd be that...

God is judging America!!!

Image
God is not doing anything bad to America, he actually wants us all young, old, black, white, asian, native, latino, jewish, indian, muslim, etc. to come to know Him in this country so we can be filled with Love and have a giving heart towards all, around the world, and guide more into a freedom filled, life giving relationship with Him.   Blood moons, harbingers, storms, torturous wrath, all that nonsense is not how He operates, drop your messed up view of the book of revelatio n, and the ignorant view those in the OT had of God, and realize the depth of John 3:16 and the absolute lengths He is willing to go to bring His children home.   God is Love, Love is perfectly defined in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Jesus came to clear up the image of God in the eyes of those misled in the OT about the character of God.   Don't regress into being blinded to who He is by fear mongering, ignorant speakers that have an economical or sociological interest in keeping people lapping

Read your bible... The right way.

Image
I think a slightly better tagline would be read the bible in light of the finished work of Christ, the law of love, the Holy Spirit, and using right division. There are 43,000 denominations that all share the same bible, the kkk uses the bible, and various other cults, and usually what has infected their interpretations are not believing, or knowing, that the work of Jesus made a difference, not using a lens of love by not understanding that the number one attribute of their God is Love, letting their own emotions or biases lead them to interpret things a certain way, which usually is in a manner to read into it that their god hates the same people they seem to hate, or is a task master like their earthly father or early influences were, and not knowing the who, what, why, and when regarding a particular scripture. Mix that in with a little bit of believing that someone with letters behind their name knows more, when they simply were taught the specific theology of what the coll

Escape from Gaza

Image
Anyone watch the movie "Escape from New York"? Anyone been to Manhattan Island? Anyone notice how crowded it is? There's about 3 million people on the island during the day Well in the movie I'm speaking of, Manhattan Island was surroun ded by a wall and was used as a prison. I think a lot of people should watch the movie, it would help people understand the logistics of current events a little bit better. If you take Manhattan island and make it a little over twice as long and a little over twice as wide, and get rid of about a million people, down to a little under 2 million people on it, you'd have Gaza. But add the walls from "Escape From New York" only push them up against the island. Oh, and remove all the sky scrapers so the space for living is even more limited and much more cramped. Now imagine that you're in that prison and you didn't do a darn thing. What would your outlook in life be? Would you get a little bit angry? Would you

He is a good God!

Image
Why is it so hard for many Christians to believe that a God that would go through the lengths He has to bring you home, is a good God? Religion, aka the voice of the enemy, has done a marvelous job of separating the truth of God's goodness from the hearts of His people. The shepherd leaves the ninety nine for the one and when he finds the one he calls his friends to celebrate. The woman who loses her coin searches for it all through her house and when she finds it she calls her friends to celebrate. The father waits daily and when he sees his prodigal son at a distance, a far distance, runs out to him, brings him home and calls his friends to celebrate. This is the revelation of a good God!! The sheep did nothing for the love it received, the coin did nothing for the value attached to it, the son did nothing for the position he had. And I don't even have to bring up the cross. For God so loved the world... Holy cow people, God is so unbelievably, unimaginably

Reverse the curse

Image
Who is the seed of Abraham in the NT? If you bless the seed you will be blessed, if you curse the seed you will be cursed. Jesus redeemed the world from all curses. The scripture people use to defend their bad exegesis of Israel being the seed of Abraham, when in fact believers are the seed of Abraham, is in all actuality null and void. Selah.

The Spirit gives life.

Image
If your reading of the bible leads you to hate your enemies and pray for their destruction, you're not reading it by the Spirit you're reading by the letter. What did Paul have to say about that? "The letter kills, the Spirit gives life." Selah.

All consuming fire

Image
When you believe "God's wrath" is violent and destructive, you will live a life of violence and destruction. When you believe "God's wrath" is an all consuming fire of Love and forgiveness, you will live a life of Love and forgiveness. Now, which one more accurately reflects Jesus' character? Then it obviously reflects God's character as well. Selah.

Feeling superior?

Image
Don't let bad exegesis lead you to prop up one group and look at another as subordinate. When you do that it shows a lack of understanding of the character of Jesus.

Bringing heaven to earth

Image
How are Christians supposed to bring heaven to earth, when that ultimately encompasses bringing peace to earth and walking in peace on earth, when they are utterly obsessed and devoted to waging war? It's a real conundrum, I tell ya.  The question that some should be asking themselves is "why perfectly reflect an oxymoron when you have the ability to be a perfect reflection of Christ?"

Lord you are frightening?

Image
What they sing: "Lord you are good and your mercy endureth forever!" What they believe: "Lord you are frightening and your wrath endureth forever!"

Superior

Image
ISIS is a perfect example when you start to put a people group as chosen and superior to another. That type of belief always leads to dehumanizing and devaluing others.  Be careful that you don't begin to travel down that path. They are behaving in a completely demonic manner. It starts to explain much of how people went down the path of genocide in the OT.

Human shields again and again

Image
Excusing the death of innocent children in Gaza with the excuse of "human shields", is like telling a woman who was abused it's her own fault for burning dinner.

Human shields again

Excusing the death of innocent children in Gaza with the excuse of "human shields", is like telling a parent who's child was raped that it's their own fault for letting them leave the house.

Excusing the death of innocent children in Gaza with the excuse of "human shields", is like telling a parent that loses their child to a drunk driver that it's their own fault for driving on the road.
