People keep sharing that if Arabs put down their weapons they would have peace with Israel, but if Israel put down its weapons there would be no Israel. How quickly people forget AD70. Those who dropped their weapons and fled for the hills per Jesus' advice all lived, from the oldest to the youngest. These survivors all dropped their weapons. They did the opposite of what many Christians think people should do in that circumstance. Those who didn't listen to Jesus' words, who behaved as many Christians think they should, who didn't trust His ways as the best ways, and didn't accept Him as the Messiah because He didn't conquer His enemies through war, ended up waging war and they picked up their swords and were all killed and thrown into Gehenna. I think many Christians are gonna be upset when they meet a person who was gay, a nazi, a Muslim, a Palestinian, a communist, a socialist, a liberal, and a whole lot of other people they hate and feel are worthless in heaven. I know I'm gonna be standing there with my HeavenPhone 777 and take a pic of their faces to post on FaithBook. I'll be laughing with them, not at them.

I'm not a millionaire duck hunter, I'm not a harbinger of end times eschatology, I don't vilify gay people or Arabs, I'm not a ranch owner who stole from the government for years, I'm not a corporation, I don't own a sports team, I don't wave any country's flag, I believe in peace, I'm not greedy, I don't want to see anyone die, I worship Jesus not any person or people groups, I don't persecute anyone, and I don't have a show on Fox News.  No wonder I'm not that popular with many people on here.

It's funny, the ones that believe the strongest in mainstream Christianity's version of "Hell" are also the ones that support sending as many people as possible to that place by killing them as swiftly as they can in retribution for anything. It's not that they intentionally show mercy, a Christ-like mercy, so that the people have a lifetime's chance to come to the saving knowledge of Christ. Nope, it's just "blow them the "f" off the planet.", even if they are youth. Makes perfect sense.

Are we as Christian parents putting undue pressure on our children or feeding into the growth of arrogance and superiority, with the constant speaking over them of platitudes in the church calling them "world changers", telling them they will do great things for God, telling them they will become great, etc.? Can't we simply tell them that we, and God, are proud of them, and we, and God, love them unconditionally, and we, and God, support wherever the light leads them on their path, and we, and God, are there for them every step of the way? Is it a disservice to step back and let God direct and guide them to change the world whether their world will consist of an entire country, a single household, or a single person? Have we decided what doing great things for God consists of and then warped their minds into believing that unless they speak to crowds of 10 thousands they have fallen short and not lived up to God's expectations?  I'm all for speaking thi

I wholeheartedly believe bad eschatology is behind most of the support for wars in the Middle East by Christians.

Any teaching that leads you to feel superior to another person or group, is false teaching.

The easiest way to receive support and assistance for bad treatment of an opponent is to dehumanize that opponent.  Make them appear as subhuman, or of such an evil that your supporters no longer judge them as worthy of the rights of other human beings.  This type of manipulation has been successful in various types of conflicts, from occupation, to wars, to slavery, etc. for ages.  Many are a victim of this manipulation in our country right now and don't even realize it.

Can we really be mad at Cartoon Network's Adult Swim and the show "Black Jesus" for misrepresenting Jesus, when the church for decades has been presenting a Jesus to people that is nothing like Him? If we who supposedly know Him can't get Him right, then how foolish is it for us to get upset when people who don't know Him don't get Him right?

  Jesus is not involved in the actions that cause this on both sides. If you think He is, you don't know Him. Stop with the nonsense, Jesus is not involved in any war. His way to defeat an enemy was to give His life, not take another's life. Those praying in support of war, any and all wars across the globe, are actually praying to darkness and speaking curses over others with your calling down of fire. You don't know what spirit your are of.     I am saying this in a sympathetic manner. If you are a believer in Christ, in Jesus as your Messiah, you are in fact a part of a group called "God's chosen people." We must be careful to not get confused over things and turn other people or groups into demigods or idols due to misinterpretation. Anyone that has told you something different, and even argued it with scripture, or if you have come to this conclusion yourself, that a different group other than believer's in Christ of any nation, sex, or background are "God's chosen people", that is very bad exegesis or hermeneutics. I know it can be confusing, but the Spirit will be only too happy to let you know who you are in Christ and your value to Him, He absolutely loves to convict you, convince you, of your righteousness through Christ and how special you actually are.   We've been brainwashed to look at those we agree with as the "good guys" and those we disagree with as the "bad guys", and that is just one more lie from the pit of hell. Keep that in mind when you look at world events, maybe those you don't agree with do good in their own way, and maybe those you agree with do bad in their own way. Regardless of their actions, we should be looking at all people , no matter the religion, the region, the skin tone, the sexual preferences, the education, the immigration status, or the political party through the eyes of Christ. He didn't label people as "good guys" and "bad guys", He looked at them as lost sheep, each and every one of them. And when He looked at them He was moved with compassion.   It's funny with all the times I share that the bible doesn't make the claims people do about itself, those same people do so many things that are not biblical even though they cling so strongly to this inerrant argument and try to beat me up with scriptures. I seem to hold the words of scripture in higher esteem than they do, knowing it is not inerrant. Ok, if you follow your bible stop crying out for "more" of God, you have the fullness. Stop asking for God's presence, He will never leave or forsake you, or that you are separated from Him, nothing can separate you from His Love. Stop calling yourself a sinner, you are a Saint. Stop holding on to your old man, the old man is dead, you are a new creation. Stop "carrying your cross" you carry it once and then you died with Him, you were buried with Him, and you rose with Him.   I've noticed that people cling to scriptures that seem to imply that we should not spend time with the lost, that we should come out of the world, that we are not for this place, etc. Who am I to go against that, it is written in scripture after all. See, I admit and agree that those words do seem to be in scripture, but interestingly enough, Jesus seemed to have modeled the exact opposite.
