If you don't know the truth, you fall for any lies.
One of the biggest lies in modern Christianity in the U.S. is this:
That generations that were raised on Bronson, Eastwood, Stallone, Schwarzenegger, and Statham have it stuck in their minds that Jesus is an angry figure with his shirt torn off showing his chiseled chest, glistening with sweat, draped in red, white, and blue, riding on the barrel of a M1 tank, and holding an M60 with the ammo belt wrapped around his arm tearing His so called "enemies" apart.
And of course in their mind His "enemies" are the people they don't agree with, politically, societally, spiritually, racially, sexually, or theologically.
That is a lie straight from a satanic pit, cleanse your mind of this falsehood and renew your mind. Jesus isn't some single minded, vengeance filled, retaliatory, muscled up, jock type action hero, quick to shoot first and ask questions later.
He is so far beyond what our minds, manipulated by Hollywood blockbusters, consider a hero, and His version of heroism was displayed prominently when He laid down His life on the cross.
Christus Victor!
