The world as a whole, everyone in it, needs the Real Jesus, that I have to even say that means people haven't been listening. But, the world cannot know the Real Jesus until the church as a whole gets to know Him. That is the problem I am addressing in frustration with many of my posts. How can you send out missionaries to reach the world, or even your own backyard, for Jesus, when all the majority of American Christian™ churches do is teach people about the same false god those in the world, or in your own backyard, already worship only with a clever name change to "Jesus?" That makes no sense. So before people can meet the Real Jesus, the people tasked with sharing Him with the world need to know Him. That is simple logic. So people say how can you be so certain? When tragedies like mass shootings happen people say that what is needed is "Jesus." This country claims to be a Christian nation. What is it? Just under 80% claim to be Christians in this country? So statistically speaking, they already have the "Jesus" these people speak of. So I wholeheartedly disagree when I hear people saying the country needs their Americanized version of "Jesus." This country is in the state it is in because of the "Jesus" that American churches teach. In this age of violence, I notice many trying to justify or excuse violence by using a single event in scripture to support their narrative of a violent non-pacifist Jesus. I shake my head because it’s the same problem I see day in and day out when it comes to scriptures. People do not use exegesis, they rely on eisegesis. This is a major, major no-no when it comes to scripture.   A brief explanation of the 2 terms may be in order for those who don’t know what this means: exegesis is the process of drawing out the meaning from a text in accordance with the context and discoverable meaning of its author, eisegesis occurs when a reader imposes his or her interpretation into and onto the text. In a nut shell, exegesis is studying scripture to find out what IT says, eisegesis is studying scripture to make it tell what YOU say. It's funny, when crazy things happen American Christians™ act like the past was all rosy, sunshine, lollipops, & rainbows. Well I'm here to tell ya, no, no, it wasn't.   There was more violence in the past, the type of violence you will most likely never have to deal with, even as crazy as things look now, there just wasn't social media to spread it around the world in an instant, and there wasn't a politics driven media trying to manipulate your emotions and feelings to cause   an "us against them" mentality.   Grow up and learn history, your vacuous memories are as false as your many Christian beliefs are.  

  I've noticed that many of the money-loving millionaire preachers in large ministries have become just like the politicians they now support. Yes I'm talking to the   Lance Wallnau 's and his TBN ilk, the   Paula White 's, the  Franklin Graham 's, the Piper's, the   John Hagee Ministries , and more. They jump on the band wagon of a certain type of person, usually the lowest denominator, and they convince them to climb into dark pits of hate, anger, violence, racism, and deception. Way to try to stay relevant selling out the gospel to keep bringing in your ill gotten gains that you manipulate these ignorant people to give with your twisting of scripture. Your greed and selfishness obviously knows no bounds. You are false teachers peddling an anti-Christ message. You all, as a whole, are of your father the devil. Shame on you all, just shame on you.   We have a culture that is brought up on vengeance, eye for an eye, kill em all, blow them to hell, where people fight over neighborhoods, states they live in, sports teams, favorite drinks, etc. Where people support going to war and occupying a country that was innocent, where people support another country building a wall around another group and trying to commit genocide, where people celebrate a sniper that killed people that were only defending their country from an occup ying force, a culture raised on exceptionalism, self centeredness, self absorption, and celebration of self, a culture that is unwilling to help the least, that cuts funding for programs that assist the poor, a culture that closes it's borders to needy immigrants fleeing danger, and you wonder why there is a problem with violence in this country? And by the way I was just talking about and describing American Christians™, I wasn't even talking about non Christians.

  The reason we live in a "godless society" is because most American Christians™ don't seem to know the God Jesus showed the world. They mostly know an amalgamation of Egyptian and Greek false gods that love violence, kill their enemies, and rely on might not mercy to overcome.

  My memory of 9/11. Of course everyone remembers where there were. I was in bed with my wife at the time. We had the news on, I was needing to get ready to go to work in a few. I didn't witness the first plane hit, but did see the 2nd plane hit. I knew at that moment it wasn't an accident. I immediately knew it was terrorists, Mid East terrorists, looking back I now know that the reason for my quick assumption was from the mass media indoctrination I was under at the time. I didn't really have a relationship with God at the time, so I was angry, I wanted to kill whomever was responsible. I wanted them all dead. You have to remember, I'm a military brat, I come from a huge military family, 13 aunts and uncles have served, cousins, my brother was a ARMY Ranger, he had served in Desert Storm, I went to enlist after high school but I failed the color test so that dashed my hopes of being a helicopter pilot in the ARMY, so to me that was my first go to, send the troops...

  It's always amusing when people renounce the fact that Jesus was against violence by saying when He said if someone "slaps your cheek, show them the other cheek," it was just related to insult, not physical violence.   The reason it's amusing is because just before saying the words they use to come to this strange conclusion by using mental gymnastics to defend their use of violence, and discount His meaning, He set up the message, and what He was speaking of, by very clearly r eferring directly to "an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth."   And that, my friend, can in no way, shape, or, form be looked at as referring to an insult, that is obviously a very real, and very physical, act against someone if you in fact know why that issue was addressed in the OT.   He also concludes by saying to love your enemies, and to pray for those who persecute you. I  don't think those that always talk about how Islam is a violent religion have ever really read the OT.

I've noticed something when it comes to Christians and violence. Many will already have decided through their own voices, the voices of their emotions, or the whispers of darkness that the use of violence is completely warranted and then they will search out scripture to support their view. Instead of... Listening for the voice of Jesus through the Holy Spirit guiding them to Peace, trusting Him to deliver them, and searching scripture to confirm His view.

Violence is like a crazy ex that you think you can't get over. When you finally meet the "One," you realize you'd rather spend your life married to Peace, and you dump that psycho tramp Violence at the curb.  #istandwithjesusforallpeople
