What are you doing with your tongue?

Image
Life and death are in the tongue, I wonder how many storms, sicknesses, deaths, broken relationships, troubled children, calamities, hardships, depressions, anxieties, and more have occurred due to what people, and more specifically Christians, are speaking into the air. You think Christianity is under attack, "judgment" is coming, a political agenda you disagree with is taking over, darkness is winning, whatever other negative thing you verbalize and plant power into on a daily basis? Well of course those things are gaining in power, you keep saying it is as loud as you can, you are empowering those things with your own words, you are cursing and giving power to darkness. People like me, and millions more around the globe, are the ones that have to speak out into the spiritual realm against the silly curses Christians are speaking out on a daily basis.

Do You Really Believe In God?

Image
My friend Sue Beach with a magnificent post, I have to share: DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE IN GOD? This may shock you but I do not believe in the Christian god. In fact, I do not believe in the god of ANY religion. They are ALL FALSE GODS!!! I worshiped a man made god most of my life. I was raised in a strict Christian religion. I was baptized as an infant, attended church regularly and tried to follow all the rules. Like a lamb being led to the slaughter, I beli eved all the crap I was told from the pulpit about god. I "loved" a god I really did not know. Then I lost my infant daughter, Christine. I experienced a gut wrenching pain that no parent should ever have to endure. I sought comfort and answers from the god of my religion but I only became more confused and hurt. I was told that god had a greater purpose for taking my child and I needed to trust him. I was told that his ways are above our ways and there are just some things we cannot understand. I was told that go...

Jesus, take me away...

Image
You know, this mentality that is rampant in Christianity of hoping Jesus comes soon and people have a "Calgon, take me away" moment, although understandable, really needs to die. Look, here's the problem with it, and it's been proven by human nature, anyone that is waiting to get "out" of something will never put as much effort or handle the responsibilities as well as someone that's "in" someth ing for the long haul. It's true at work, in marriages, in any relationship actually. Unless you are completely in it for the long haul, you're going to put a halfhearted effort in. We can convince ourselves in our mind otherwise, but it's the reality of how our mind frame affects us. So, yes, this world is bad, not as bad as the past despite what people believe, but it is bad and yes getting away from this fallen world would be nice, but your mentality has to be that you are here for the long haul, no matter how long, no matter how b...

God loves you. He really loves you. Don't believe any lies.

God actually loves people more than anyone on earth can imagine. If you read posts from myself or others writing about God's love and think what we write or describe is too good to be true, imagine this... He loves people even more than anything we share, no matter how eloquently we write or describe it!! I know some Christians argue against that fact, and yes His love for people is a fact, bu t they are wrong. Dead wrong. His love is completely utterly, scandalously true. If more Christians figured this out, there'd be the "revival" they cry out for because Love leads to repentance. I sometimes wonder about many Christians. If they have truly met Love Himself, it should be, not even second, but first nature to love. For some reason many don't. What does this lack of love really say about their relationship with Love himself?

Misery or Joy of the Lord?

Image
I've heard it said by Christians that we aren't supposed to be having a good time here, that we have a mission and having a good time enjoying things takes us away from that.   We're to bring heaven to earth, how is not having a good time heavenly? Every Christian should be having a good time. That's what a relationship with Christ gives you in the depth of your heart, a happiness and joy that blows minds.   Your joy and exuberance that just escapes from all of your pores as you enjoy God's creation and where He has placed you on this earth is a testimony to those watching.   Sack cloth and ashes are for those in mourning, and a way to beg or cajole by those that don't have an intimate relationship with their Father, not for those that know Him intimately.   When I see a miserable Christian that preaches to others that to be a good Christian you have to be a miserable Christian, I sometimes wonder if they know the real Christ in Christian.

Outside appearances?

Christianity has gotten so focused on outside appearances that they believe that if someone or something, such as a sports star, political figure, CEO of a corporation, a corporation itself, or television station, acts like they have Christian values that means they are in fact Christian or in fact support Christianity. They then put all their support behind that person or entity and form an emot ional bond. They feel that that person or entity is a part of them and their group and they adopt them into a place in their heart. That's not very wise, because... When that entity, person or thing, does something un-Christian like or opposite of Christian values, they feel betrayed. Unfortunately they haven't truly been betrayed, the person or entity didn't misrepresent themselves the Christian convinced themselves of something that wasn't an actual reality. To add to this unfortunate situation, they feel betrayed enough that they now get genuinely upset with Christians...

Fear or Love?

We counsel people to leave relationships that are based on abuse, to not walk in union with those that cause us a true warranted sense of fear and abuse by their very actions, but so many are in exactly that type of relationship with who they perceive their god to be and what they perceive him to be doing in their life. I am glad that I know my God loves me and gave of Himself because He so deeply desired to have a loving relationship with me! He longed for me to love Him out of true love, not because I'm scared of Him. He provides me mercy, grace, blessings, and so much more, and ALL of His actions in my life prove it.
