Alleviate Global Poverty? Really? Is it possible?

Image
America will never spend what it spends on war on peace, so please stop spreading the myth that this is a Christian Nation, it insults Jesus. What America has spent in the last 15 years on war would alleviate global poverty for good. Imagine a world with no homeless, no starving adults or children. It is so very attainable, but unfortunately there is no profit in peace, there is only profit in war. If you want a difference in this world, then stop supporting war and start com ing together for peace, there is enough wealth in the world for no one to ever go hungry, there is a surplus. It is actually so easy to end global poverty that the elite have convinced people the dream is too good to be true. Do your own research, look up what it would take, I'm tired of doing all the work, look it up and see what could be done with the 1.6 trillion that was spent on the Iraq/Afghanistan/war on terror alone. Kill poverty, give people hope for a future, hope to find love, a home...

American Christians™ at war

Image
I was wrong, American Christians™ are involved in a war... It's a war they created themselves and are too hardhearted to give up. All while Jesus weeps.

War?

Image
Followers of Christ that believe that Christians are in some kind of war...   Your theology is all messed up.   Followers of Christ are to be a welcome party to the Kingdom, not some kind of soldier, Rambo, warrior against everyone of other sexual orientation, religion, etc.   Look, don't get caught up in that end times, fear filled rhetoric, all their "sign of the times" posts are bogus.   Their blood moons was kaka, their harbinger was bovine excrement. Their picking of any negative event and claiming God is judging is bad use of scripture.   They use OT scriptures from a people that didn't see God (Jesus' own words not mine) and twist it to apply to people in a new covenant. That's ignorance at its finest.   You are too smart for that, your heart is too big for that, don't let them cage your heart. Listen to your heart, your heart tells you that they are teaching wrong things, devoid of Love, devoid of Jesus, trust yourself.   Don't let them take...

9/11 Memories

Image
My memory of 9/11. Of course everyone remembers where there were. I was in bed with my wife at the time. We had the news on, I was needing to get ready to go to work in a few. I didn't witness the first plane hit, but did see the 2nd plane hit. I knew at that moment it wasn't an accident. I immediately knew it was terrorists, Mid East terrorists, looking back I now know that the reason for my quick assumption was from the mass media indoctrination I was under at the time. I didn't really have a relationship with God at the time, so I was angry, I wanted to kill whomever was responsible. I wanted them all dead. You have to remember, I'm a military brat, I come from a huge military family, 13 aunts and uncles have served, cousins, my brother was a ARMY Ranger, he had served in Desert Storm, I went to enlist after high school but I failed the color test so that dashed my hopes of being a helicopter pilot in the ARMY, so to me that was my first go to, send the troops...

Give us Barabbas!

Image
Whenever I see American Christians™ supporting war, speaking about how their enemies deserve to be destroyed, praying for God's covering on those dropping bombs on innocents, praying for the deaths of those of other religions, saying that there is a point where you don't forgive, that people should be caged for their sexual orientation, and even going so far as attacking those of us who preach the non-violent, all inclusive, forgiving, Love filled, message of Jesus, I hear on their voices... "Give us Jesus Barabbas! Give us Jesus Barabbas! Give us Jesus Barabbas! Give us Jesus Barabbas! Give us Jesus Barabbas! Give us Jesus Barabbas!*" We must break free from this destructive belief system that has infected those that should intimately know Him. *Barabbas's name appears as bar-Abbas in the Greek texts of the gospels. It is derived ultimately from the Aramaic בר-אבא, Bar-abbâ, "son of the father". Some ancient manuscripts of Matthew 27:16–17 ha...

Bringing heaven to earth

Image
How are Christians supposed to bring heaven to earth, when that ultimately encompasses bringing peace to earth and walking in peace on earth, when they are utterly obsessed and devoted to waging war? It's a real conundrum, I tell ya.  The question that some should be asking themselves is "why perfectly reflect an oxymoron when you have the ability to be a perfect reflection of Christ?"

Pro life? Really?

Image
It's interesting how "pro life" Christians are, except when it comes to Arabs or Muslims.  You can't abort a fetus, but you can bomb pregnant Arab or Muslim women and kill their children to your hearts content in the name of a "holy war."  Like war is "holy," you dolt.  Makes perfect sense. Maybe that's why the world thinks that the Christian "religion" is full of crap.  "Christians" have dec ided which lives are worthwhile and which are worthless, but don't let anyone else make that decision, not even God who has said all life is in His image. Maybe they can learn some lessons from Israel to use on abortion clinics, they can absolve themselves of people's deaths in them by bombing them and claiming "human shields."

My own little utopia

Image
People think I'm naive for promoting peace and diplomacy in place of war. Saying that if people walk in peace they will just be killed or abused. You have to fight to live. People can't come together at a table, break bread, drop egos, and make a change.  Maybe you're right, maybe people are hopeless, maybe people are self absorbed, ego driven, prideful, selfish, greedy, war mongering, vindictive , vengeful, wicked, deceptive, and evil. Maybe that's all true. But you know what? War only brings the negative out in people, so what do you think feeds those negative emotions in man? Certainly not peace. Looking at the crime rate and the amount of wars going on across the world right now, and the deaths and abuse in all of those wars, your way doesn't seem to have much of a leg to stand on either. So it's not like shooting for peace can make things any worse. You may be surprised by the results.

Forced into peace?

Image
People keep sharing that if Arabs put down their weapons they would have peace with Israel, but if Israel put down its weapons there would be no Israel. How quickly people forget AD70. Those who dropped their weapons and fled for the hills per Jesus' advice all lived, from the oldest to the youngest. These survivors all dropped their weapons. They did the opposite of what many Christians think people should do in that circumstance. Those who didn't listen to Jesus' words, who behaved as many Christians think they should, who didn't trust His ways as the best ways, and didn't accept Him as the Messiah because He didn't conquer His enemies through war, ended up waging war and they picked up their swords and were all killed and thrown into Gehenna. They say history repeats itself, let's hope it's not true. But if you live be the sword you will eventually die by the sword. One person has to drop the sword first, because they want to not because t...

War is not sanctioned, supported, or waged by God

Image
Jesus is not involved in the actions that cause this on both sides. If you think He is, you don't know Him. Stop with the nonsense, Jesus is not involved in any war. His way to defeat an enemy was to give His life, not take another's life. Those praying in support of war, any and all wars across the globe, are actually praying to darkness and speaking curses over others with your calling down of fire. You don't know what spirit your are of. The path to peace is paved by only One Man's Blood, not in the countless gallons of blood of those around the world that are continuing to bleed. #istandwithjesusforallpeop le

Where is my hope?

Image
Hope will never come in the form of a politician, in the shape of an animal, nor draped in red, white, and blue. Mainstream Christianity has decided to involve itself quite intimately into war, politics, and nationalism. It's almost like witnessing ourselves in the throes of adultery against the One whom we are married to when we finally open our eyes to where much of our "love" actually belongs. Oh, how we never should have trusted the lies. When I hear that one party or the other is the "Christian party", or that one country or another is a "Christian nation" I throw up a little in my mouth and then I shake my head because we all have gotten sold a bad bill of goods by leaders (of the church) and teachers (of the church) for far too many years. But any destruction of this country has been in the works for more than 8 years, and overlapped both parties, it's not surprisingly represented by gold, and is known by the name of greed. Envision a ser...

You wanna go to war?

Image
Just like what occurs in actual wars and even the wars of Pepsi vs. Coke, McDonalds vs. Burger King, Raiders vs. Classiness, and Cowboys vs. Intelligence, this "us against them" mentality in Christianity is ultimately designed to benefit someone. Although it appears that the people who are standing strong waving the banner for their preferred choice will benefit, which they usually have been heavily marketed and manipulated into choosing even in churches. Usually the benefact or(s) is(are) the source(s) of the division. How much has been made, in various ways, off the backs of people that have been led into going to war over trivial issues, or trivial choices, that have been carefully, meticulously, crafted, and manipulated into being a catalyst to war with a fellow man over. Something to think about.

Sin and Hell.

Image
My friend Derek Flood with a great observation: Now let's talk about sin and hell: I don't mean the trivial "did you ever tell a lie" nonsense. I mean real harm, real brokenness, real hurt. Do people do really hurtful and horrible things to each other? Yes, they certainly do. Are people hurt and broken? Yes, more than you know. Abuse is real. Rape is real. Starvation is real. War crimes are real. In short, there is a "hell" right here that many ... people are in the middle of, and that matters, and we should care. This idea of hell right now is vital because it means we need to care about people's lives right now, and not just about life after death. I believe in that, too, I hope for heaven with all my heart, I long for eternity. But life here matters. People matter. That's why Jesus spent all his time caring for people and their very real needs. When we have a theology that makes all of that a waste of time then we suck the life right out of ...
