Jesus is the same, yesterday, today, and forever...

Jesus is the same, yesterday, today, and forever... Numbers 15:32-36 Penalty for breaking the Sabbath One day while the people of Israel were in the wilderness, they discovered a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day. The people who found him doing this took him before Moses, Aaron, and the rest of the community. They held him in custody because they did not know what t o do with him. Then the Lord said to Moses, “The man must be put to death! The whole community must stone him outside the camp.” So the whole community took the man outside the camp and stoned him to death, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. Mark 3:1-6 Jesus Heals on the Sabbath Jesus went into the synagogue again and noticed a man with a deformed hand. Since it was the Sabbath, Jesus’ enemies watched him closely. If he healed the man’s hand, they planned to accuse him of working on the Sabbath. Jesus said to the man with the deformed hand, “Come and stand in front of everyone.” Then he turned to his critics...

Jesus is the same, yesterday, today, and forever...

Jesus is the same, yesterday, today, and forever... 2 Kings 1:10 And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty. Luke 9:54-55 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. Hmmm. #thinkaboutit

The more loving you describe God, the more some say you don't know the real Him.

Image
Another wonderful experience of mine to share. The more loving you describe God, the more some say you don't know the real Him. True story... Where do they come up with this? Maybe they should read this: Ephesians 3:18-19 (NLT) And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Message of freedom

Image
Me thinks satan doesn't like the message of Truth and Freedom I proclaim.  Very interesting how he tries to keep people in bondage and how easily he twists and warps scripture to get people to believe such lies and falsehoods about our Father.  Someone on my friends list must have been set free by something He had me share and it got darkness riled up. Thank the LORD for His true message of freedom and His Grace.

This belief is toxic

I edited the names because I don't want to seem like I'm mocking them and I definitely have empathy and compassion for the family and friends of those involved, but I hate that people have been brainwashed to believe these kinds of lies about God. Some people say it helps them feel better to believe this nonsense, but lies are never good, especially not when they are about my Daddy. ****** ******* ** died from a major heart attack Tuesday night. His wife, ******* *******, says, "I guess the Good Lord wanted him... I wanted him too, but He won."

Partaking in communion unworthily

Image
Corinthians 11:26-32 (YLT)  for as often as ye may eat this bread, and this cup may drink, the death of the Lord ye do shew forth -- till he may come; so that whoever may eat this bread or may drink the cup of the Lord unworthily, guilty he shall be of the body and blood of the Lord: and let a man be proving himself, and so of the bread let him eat, and of the cup let him drink; for he who is ea...ting and drinking unworthily, judgment to himself he doth eat and drink -- not discerning the body of the Lord. Because of this, among you many [are] weak and sickly, and sleep do many; for if ourselves we were discerning, we would not be being judged, and being judged by the Lord, we are chastened, that with the world we may not be condemned; I wanted to address a certain part of this scripture. Many have cowered in fear and had their minds totally twisted because of the many teachings based on these verses. It's very easy to research what was actually happening at the time so I won...

What are you zealous about?

Why is it so easy for Christians to make entire doctrines about a single scripture, mostly taken out of context with the other verses surrounding it, the preceding chapters, or to whom it was directed to in the first place and then follow this doctrine with fiery zeal, heralding it as a command from the Lord, but yet find it so hard to follow His very simple, clearly stated, and non debatable command to love God and love people?

Forgive

Image
If you choose, you can play this song as the soundtrack to this post, if it is not your cup of tea, continue on: Many times we walk in unforgiveness, it's such a life-killing emotion. I could spend hours explaining forgiveness, trying to convince why we should forgive, I could list what forgiveness is or isn't, the benefits to me or you, but I thought maybe I'd use a mental picture. I like when people describe things and you can visualize it, so here goes. Picture yourself standing before the cross, Jesus said His last words and breathed His last breath. His head drops and His Spirit is gone. Since we live in the "here and now" we know that He died to change our world, He was victorious over the work of darkness, but we wouldn't of known this that day. You may choke up picturing this, or you've heard and read about it so much that it doesn't have the impact it did when you first met Him and realized what He actually went through for ...

Occupy

Occupy the Church... Find a Christ centered, Bible based Church... Call on the Lord to free you from your old life... Get on your knees and pray for this country and this world... That would make a real difference... And take a bath, hippie!!! j/k... Jesus is the only Messiah...

End of self-effort

But in my own life it was only when I came to the end of self-effort--when I saw that I couldn't do all the things that Christians are supposed to do--that I gave up and turned to the Lord. When a man turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. When we stop trying to do it ourselves and rest in Jesus, trusting Him in us to live the Christian life, we are no longer blinded by the veil. - Juan Carlos Ortiz
