In this age of violence, I notice many trying to justify or excuse violence by using a single event in scripture to support their narrative of a violent non-pacifist Jesus. I shake my head because it’s the same problem I see day in and day out when it comes to scriptures. People do not use exegesis, they rely on eisegesis. This is a major, major no-no when it comes to scripture.   A brief explanation of the 2 terms may be in order for those who don’t know what this means: exegesis is the process of drawing out the meaning from a text in accordance with the context and discoverable meaning of its author, eisegesis occurs when a reader imposes his or her interpretation into and onto the text. In a nut shell, exegesis is studying scripture to find out what IT says, eisegesis is studying scripture to make it tell what YOU say.   The worst thing I have witnessed is when a person with a caring personality, a huge heart, with love that overflows, a hope of helping marginalized people, and an empathetic soul, gets involved in religious, fear mongering, versions of Christianity and sucked into the false end times narrative, rotten eschatology, and exclusionary beliefs of American Christendom™. I weep for them, together with Jesus. It hits me so hard because I was in those same shoes not long ago, and I am so thankful that Jesus woke me up one day telling me to drop absolutely everything I was taught, and what I thought as a Christian I was supposed to believe, and only study His Love. I was wrong, American Christians™ are involved in a war... It's a war they created themselves and are too hardhearted to give up. All while Jesus weeps.

  The reason we live in a "godless society" is because most American Christians™ don't seem to know the God Jesus showed the world. They mostly know an amalgamation of Egyptian and Greek false gods that love violence, kill their enemies, and rely on might not mercy to overcome.

Today many men and women will stand on stages and claim to be speaking for God.   Many of them will share messages that contradict each other. Many will share messages that go against the non violent, enemy loving teachings of Jesus. Many of them won't share a message of beating weapons into plow shares but a message of stocking up in even more weapons. Many won't share a message of reaching out t o our neighbors, but a message to fear our neighbors. Many will share a message not that we have overcame, but that we are under attack and must overcome others by force. Many will place you under laws and bondage that never applied to Gentiles.   Please, don't listen to your emotions, don't listen to political rhetoric, don't listen to fear, don't listen to lies, listen to your heart.   Don't be deceived, your heart will guide you to Love. Love doesn't do what many "men and women of God" will tell you God does. Please trust Love, not the many mess...

Followers of Christ that believe that Christians are in some kind of war...   Your theology is all messed up.   Followers of Christ are to be a welcome party to the Kingdom, not some kind of soldier, Rambo, warrior against everyone of other sexual orientation, religion, etc.   Look, don't get caught up in that end times, fear filled rhetoric, all their "sign of the times" posts are bogus.   Their blood moons was kaka, their harbinger was bovine excrement. Their picking of any negative event and claiming God is judging is bad use of scripture.   They use OT scriptures from a people that didn't see God (Jesus' own words not mine) and twist it to apply to people in a new covenant. That's ignorance at its finest.   You are too smart for that, your heart is too big for that, don't let them cage your heart. Listen to your heart, your heart tells you that they are teaching wrong things, devoid of Love, devoid of Jesus, trust yourself.   Don't let them take...

  If you are a gentile, you don't have to indulge in any of the Jewish festivities, it doesn't suddenly make you Jewish, it doesn't make you any holier, it doesn't get you any closer to God than Him being in you, and it certainly doesn't make you any more appealing to God than you already are.   Just be yourself, God knew you would be a gentile before you were born, and He loved you before you were born. Stop trying to be someone else, just be yourself. You are worthy, at least God thought you definitely were when His son died for you, maybe you should start believing that.   You do know they are still waiting for their Messiah, you already know Him, why regress in your relationship with Jesus?

  My memory of 9/11. Of course everyone remembers where there were. I was in bed with my wife at the time. We had the news on, I was needing to get ready to go to work in a few. I didn't witness the first plane hit, but did see the 2nd plane hit. I knew at that moment it wasn't an accident. I immediately knew it was terrorists, Mid East terrorists, looking back I now know that the reason for my quick assumption was from the mass media indoctrination I was under at the time. I didn't really have a relationship with God at the time, so I was angry, I wanted to kill whomever was responsible. I wanted them all dead. You have to remember, I'm a military brat, I come from a huge military family, 13 aunts and uncles have served, cousins, my brother was a ARMY Ranger, he had served in Desert Storm, I went to enlist after high school but I failed the color test so that dashed my hopes of being a helicopter pilot in the ARMY, so to me that was my first go to, send the troops...

It's very interesting that most that support inerrancy of scripture, say those that don't, "follow man". It's interesting because the majority of the beliefs in the modern church and American Christianity™ aren't from scripture they are teachings from names like Calvin, Darby, Anselm, Augustine, and others, including their local pastors. Those are men, by the way (and possibly some women). Look, please consider this, if you really have no idea of the history of why you believe what you believe, and you only believe it because you were taught it, then please take pause before making statements that infer that you have infallible knowledge about the subject being discussed. Do your homework first, and that means spending time studying church history. Now some people say that the Spirit confirms these things for them, that they don't need to study history. Violence loving, or justifying, American Christians™ just can't handle me preaching non-violence. For the last couple years, they have mocked me, berated me, chastised me, have called me coward, and more. The sad thing is that they think that they are in fact doing a better job of following Christ by vowing vengeance or death on someone who may hurt them or their family. It's funny because the only thing I'm actually doing is preaching the exact same message Jesus preached. T hat's all! Yet these American Christians™ are so committed to the idolatry of enemy hate that it goes completely over their heads that that's in fact what I'm doing. I have a perfect example of American Christianity™, Hobby Lobby President Steve Green has planned to open a "Bible museum" with a price tag of 400 million, http://www.relevantmagazine.com/slices/400-million-museum-bible-now-under-construction-washington-dc . This is the company that sells Chinese made trinkets that are of no real value to millions of Christians and spiritualists. They also were engaged in litigation regarding "birth control" in their government required healthcare programs. Now it's already been pointed out China's horrific human rights record, as well as the ir forced abortion record, and it seemed at the time quite hypocritical of Hobby Lobby, to have such a stance when they send m[b]illions into China's economy, but of course American Christians™ don't care about facts when they are screaming of their imaginary persecution, so American Christians™ defended Hobby Lobby. I think that American Christians™ would be a lot more honest during their worship times if they were singing out "Give us Jesus Barabbas! Give us Jesus Barabbas! Give us Jesus Barabbas! I've watched many healing testimonies. It seems like there are far more outside of the church than inside, and I think I've figured it out. America and specifically American Christianity™ is about titles, or personal impressions, it's not really about Jesus. You may smirk at that, but hear me out. In churches across this land, the majority, not all, but the majority of people look towards a title or reputation as a source of strength, power, or relationship with God. They wil l not hesitate to ask the pastor for healing, or someone in the church that has a reputation for healing, but a "normal" person they shun. The "normal" person will pray with them and in their minds they doubt, they don't believe it will happen, and they get what they believe. I apologize in advance for the use of the word "numbskull" and I do say it with more of an affectionate, yet stern, tone but.... For all the numbskulls out there, it is not possible to "sell your soul to the devil", the concept is from a German story, it is not biblical, never has been. So all the ministries that claim that different musicians, or politicians, or whomever else did such a thing are full of it. They are not speaking a message from Jesus or the Holy Spirit. Sheesh, the foolish stuff that infiltrates American Christianity™. Too bad this isn't the worst of it.

The things I speak out against, while seemingly having a human face, are actually mind states or belief systems. I've for many, many years spoken publically that a man is not defined by their behavior, meaning a man at his core and their behavior can be completely different things. Most times the behavior is caused by a faulty mind state, or belief system. this occurs in all men, regardless of class, color, gender, sexual orientation, etc. We do not wage a physical war, we d on't wage war against our fellow man, we wage a spiritual war, we wage a war against deception, against hate, against envy, against manifest destiny, against nationalism, against exceptionalism, against any and all beliefs that certain are chosen and others are less than, all of these things, and more, are lies that infect our minds.   “Repent” is likely the most misunderstood word in the Bible today. A misunderstanding of this word can and does change the true Gospel of Christ. It is used many times in the Bible and a misunderstanding of it will alter the meaning of any passage of scripture where it is used.
