  If you are a gentile, you don't have to indulge in any of the Jewish festivities, it doesn't suddenly make you Jewish, it doesn't make you any holier, it doesn't get you any closer to God than Him being in you, and it certainly doesn't make you any more appealing to God than you already are.   Just be yourself, God knew you would be a gentile before you were born, and He loved you before you were born. Stop trying to be someone else, just be yourself. You are worthy, at least God thought you definitely were when His son died for you, maybe you should start believing that.   You do know they are still waiting for their Messiah, you already know Him, why regress in your relationship with Jesus?

1 Chronicles 21:1 was written approximately 400-500 years after 2 Samuel 24:1. It began to be revealed to the Israelites who satan was and the power he had. They began to see how his actions were not determined, used, nor "allowed" by God. This was further revealed by Christ in scriptures. This is what led to an earlier scripture attributing an action to God and a latter attributing it rightly t o satan. This is not something that requires a PHD in theology, yet many with PHDs don't recognize this. If you simply research the Jewish beliefs you see what they were, and you see how they still influence Christianity today in a negative way. I love all those times Jesus was standing on a street corner with his megaphone yelling out all the sins of those passing by, the times He was tweeting or Facebooking a long rant about how Rome needs to be overthrown for their ungodly laws and real followers of His would be protesting and screaming and starting wars if they really had a relationship with Him, or the time He spent making people feel like less of His followers for listening to David's psalms that were sung over the secular beats of the time, or the time He said to the Gentiles that they better be following all the Jewish laws and Jewish holidays and traditions, or how He refused to speak to that adulterous Samaritan woman at the well and threw her down it to get her sinning butt to hell quicker, or the time He agreed with the rich man that following all the rules got him into heaven, or the time that He praised the long prayers filled with judgment of others and gave a high five to those that put the rotten sinner...

A sprinkling of my thoughts shared with tears from my eyes. I cry over the blood lust of some Christians. Some go so far out of their way, crying for blood, to diminish the Grace of God and to malign those who preach of this Grace. It's as if their hopes, dreams, and prayers are that God is an unjust god who upon being victorious over a defeated foe, sin and the devil, then decides to place that serpent right back on a throne to cause destruction in His children's lives  over and over again. Not only that but their god will allow that snake to have his hands on them for an eternity, as these Christians blinded by hate watch and celebrate in glee. Is that how foolish some Christians see God, how incompetent they view him? Is that how demented some of those that should know Him really are in their disturbed minds? Seriously?
