Theocentric Musings

If your reading of the bible leads you to hate your enemies and pray for their destruction, you're not reading it by the Spirit you're reading by the letter. What did Paul have to say about that? "The letter kills, the Spirit gives life." Selah.

I find is so disturbing that many Christians their faith and their salvation is found not in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, but in Father, Son, Spirit, Bible, Israel. When did we become a people that worshipped idols? Are we really like the Israelites worshipping a golden calf or 2 or 3? The Bible points to Jesus as Savior, the Bible is not however your Savior. Israel is a people tha t God loves, Israel is not however your God. To belittle the majesty and splendor of God by forcing Him into a box, or a book, or claiming that not to show reverence and worship as demigods a people who choose to deny His place as Messiah means you are against God is absolutely, factually, scripturally, and indisputably codswallop. And then to actually denigrate and slander those who love Christ, and Christ alone as Savior, and choose not to engage in idolatry of any sort, is disgusting and such anti-Christ behavior.

It's funny with all the times I share that the bible doesn't make the claims people do about itself, those same people do so many things that are not biblical even though they cling so strongly to this inerrant argument and try to beat me up with scriptures. I seem to hold the words of scripture in higher esteem than they do, knowing it is not inerrant. Ok, if you follow your bible stop crying out for "more" of God, you have the fullness. Stop asking for God's presence, He will never leave or forsake you, or that you are separated from Him, nothing can separate you from His Love. Stop calling yourself a sinner, you are a Saint. Stop holding on to your old man, the old man is dead, you are a new creation. Stop "carrying your cross" you carry it once and then you died with Him, you were buried with Him, and you rose with Him. I could go on and on showing how unbiblical the most biblical claim to be. There are 3 things you need to really understan...

I've noticed that people cling to scriptures that seem to imply that we should not spend time with the lost, that we should come out of the world, that we are not for this place, etc. Who am I to go against that, it is written in scripture after all. See, I admit and agree that those words do seem to be in scripture, but interestingly enough, Jesus seemed to have modeled the exact opposite. He sp ent most of His time with the lost, with some of the "worst" of the lost, in mainstream Christianity's eyes. In fact He spent time with them right where they were at not in a temple built by human hands. You see, a few years back I was drawn to a Love that I can't even begin to describe and at that time, I, in the blink of an eye was made new. I made a conscious decision that moment to follow that Man of unconditional Love, that God of Love, and follow Jesus the Christ. The thing is that by in fact following Jesus I have unfortunately ran into some that are so q...

The picture of this soldier triggered me realizing something. Here's the problem with bible study in this day and age, and a few days and ages before us. People are going into it with an already formed decision of what the bible says ahea d of time, instead of the bible and the Spirit revealing it's words. People have been taught what the bible is supposed to say, and so when reading, that's what they read, or paint, or color into it's words. It's how your mind works, if you have been told something says one thing over and over, your mind will fill in all the blanks and make it say that. It's very easy to manipulate people, advertising firms have gotten rich off of it, but everyone believes they are the one person that cannot be fooled. Watch the show Brain Games and you'll see what your mind does without your knowledge for yourself. Many times the thing someone is pointing out is not the correct image, but you are focusing on it because someone...

Jesus is the same, yesterday, today, and forever... 2 Kings 1:10 And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty. Luke 9:54-55 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. Hmmm. #thinkaboutit
