Theocentric Musings

I find is so disturbing that many Christians their faith and their salvation is found not in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, but in Father, Son, Spirit, Bible, Israel. When did we become a people that worshipped idols? Are we really like the Israelites worshipping a golden calf or 2 or 3? The Bible points to Jesus as Savior, the Bible is not however your Savior. Israel is a people tha t God loves, Israel is not however your God. To belittle the majesty and splendor of God by forcing Him into a box, or a book, or claiming that not to show reverence and worship as demigods a people who choose to deny His place as Messiah means you are against God is absolutely, factually, scripturally, and indisputably codswallop. And then to actually denigrate and slander those who love Christ, and Christ alone as Savior, and choose not to engage in idolatry of any sort, is disgusting and such anti-Christ behavior.

Many people believe strongly that God killed countless numbers of little children, as well as unborn children in the womb, in the OT. They also believe strongly that God is against abortion. Which one is it? 1 ) He either did those things and is then holding man to a higher standard than He holds Himself, and His Son's words and actions on Earth were lies. Or.. 2 ) He didn't do them and is wanting man to love others and consider life as sacred as He obviously does by His Son walking to the cross to give man eternal life and union with Him, and telling His followers to walk in love for even their enemies. I pick #2 even though it goes against trusting traditions of man. It does go along with trusting Jesus and right division of scripture.

I've been thinking back to the stories of the garden and Adam's relationship with The Lord. Adam didn't build an altar, Adam wasn't spending all his days on his knees making himself as lowly as he could before God. God wasn't on a stage looking down on Adam, nor on an iron throne with Adam as a peasant or jester in His kingdom. Quite the opposite, God walked with Adam. God gave Adam dominion over a part of His creation, this earth. God brought creatures big and small before Adam to name them. He loved Adam and didn't treat him as a servant, He treated him as a son. Jesus as He walked this earth only did what He saw His Father do and Jesus didn't rule over His disciples, He befriended them. He made friends with many people including sinners and prostitutes. You know, the guys some Christians are protesting or complaining about. His teachings bulldozed right over the beliefs that people had for their rulers, but yet I think many Christians are stuck i...
