A journey into Grace and Truth, in my own unique manner of speaking.
In a half hour this gospel will be etched in my flesh, it has already been firmly entrenched unto my soul... John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
The world as a whole, everyone in it, needs the Real Jesus, that I have to even say that means people haven't been listening. But, the world cannot know the Real Jesus until the church as a whole gets to know Him. That is the problem I am addressing in frustration with many of my posts.
How can you send out missionaries to reach the world, or even your own backyard, for Jesus, when all the majority of American Christian™ churches do is teach people about the same false god those in the world, or in your own backyard, already worship only with a clever name change to "Jesus?" That makes no sense. So before people can meet the Real Jesus, the people tasked with sharing Him with the world need to know Him. That is simple logic.
So people say how can you be so certain? How can you be so sanctimonious? Who are you to say who is following Jesus and who is not? What made you the unofficial spokesman for the Real Jesus? Keep your prattling on to yourself we don't want to he…
Very interesting read. It's worth noting that more and more of what the church fathers and writers of scripture believed is becoming more prominent in this age. I enjoy delving into that era. My friend Richard Murray, who can be found at his blog here, http://www.thegoodnessofgod.com/, with some great information:
FOUR REASONS THE EARLY CHURCH DID NOT BELIEVE "HELL" LASTS FOREVER
Today, many people disagree on how guilty criminals should be treated. Is the purpose of punishment, the argument goes, to rehabilitate the criminal by reforming his character? Or, rather, is the purpose of punishment to inflict eye-for-an-eye retaliation on the wrongdoer? Put another way, is our motive for punishment revenge or rescue?
This same analysis can be applied to God's purpose for Hell. Is God's motive in allowing sinners to go to Hell a form of "revenge" upon the sinner, or is God's motive rather to ultimately "rescue" the sinner from his own fallen n…
I felt it was time to address this topic. Many topics elicit an emotional response when you disagree with someone that has been indoctrinated into a certain belief regardless of whether their belief is actually truth supported by scripture or not. I have witnessed believers often referring to themselves as a “sinner” or by the extended text of “sinner saved by grace”. Are these terms actually scripturally supported terms to refer to a believer in Jesus Christ?
You may wonder, “Why is it a big deal what believers call themselves or other believers?”, but if it is not important, then why would God have inspired the scripture writers to call His children specific words? Obviously God has a huge interest in the terms His children refer to themselves as. Just as you would care about what your kids call themselves, God cares deeply about what His children call themselves. If your children are constantly calling themselves or others “stupid”, “loser”, “idiot”, “useless”, and other words li…
